Job Title: Merchant Administrative Support (Temp)
Job Type: Temporary - 25-40 Hours/Week
Job Duration: ~June 15th - October 15th, 2025
Job Location: Cotopaxi HQ: Salt Lake City, Utah (Hybrid Preferred) - Remote work may be considered in MST or PST.
Job Compensation: Approximately $1,300–$1,500 per week, with the final rate determined by experience and alignment with project requirements.

Job Overview (What You’ll Do):

Cotopaxi is looking for a detail-driven and proactive professional to support our Merchant Team during a maternity leave coverage period. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations through administrative and operational support. They’ll also contribute to the successful implementation and onboarding of our new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Centric — serving as a crucial link between business users and technical teams to ensure a seamless transition.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):

• Provide hands-on support to merchants in managing product data, seasonal line sheets, and assortment documentation.
• Maintain accurate item setups, pricing, and product information across internal systems.
• Coordinate competitive sample tracking and assist in preparing materials for line reviews and merchant presentations.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate cross-functional touchpoints.
• Compile sales reports and product performance recaps to support business insights and decision-making.
• Respond to customer experience (CX) and product-related inquiries across all categories, ensuring timely, clear, and helpful communication.

The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):

• 2+ years of experience in merchandising or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a self-starter mentality.
• Clear and collaborative communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product development or merchandising operations.
• Familiarity with PLM systems such as Centric, Bamboo Rose, or FlexPLM.
