Caprae Capital – MBA Private Equity Internship Job Description

Caprae Capital is a private equity firm revolutionizing the traditional search fund and M&A space with its innovative Search as a Service and M&A as a Service offerings. Founded by Kevin Hong, a serial tech entrepreneur who scaled two startups to $31M ARR and $7M in revenue, Caprae Capital brings together a team of seasoned professionals and investors, including co-founder who exited to Twitter, a former searcher from HBS/Wharton that recently exited, an Ex-Nasa software engineer, and a former Chief of Staff from Google.

Responsibilities

As an MBA-level intern, you will play an integral role in shaping Caprae Capital’s future. Key responsibilities include:

• M&A as a Service : Collaborate with product design and development teams to refine and launch Caprae’s M&A as a Service platform, ensuring a seamless and scalable solution for entrepreneurs and investors.
• Search as a Service : Support the development of the Search as a Service model, contributing to industry research, product enhancements, and outreach to prospective users.
• Partnership Development : Build relationships with ETA clubs, business schools, QoE providers, family offices, and independent sponsors to drive engagement and adoption of Caprae’s services.
• Global Expansion : Assist in research, outreach, and partnerships to expand Caprae’s reach into international markets.
• Public Relations and Media : Collaborate with PR teams and media outlets to promote Caprae’s initiatives and position the firm as a thought leader in the search fund and private equity space.
• Deal Sourcing and Analysis : Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities, working closely with senior leadership to assess market attractiveness and fit.
• Leadership and Coordination : Manage the internship program by mentoring undergraduate interns across multiple countries and coordinating weekly team meetings.

Qualifications

• MBA student with a passion for M&A, private equity, or entrepreneurship.
• Strong research, analysis, and communication skills.
• Intellectually mature and capable of making strategic recommendations based on screening criteria.
• Ability to build credibility with company owners and investors.
• Experience in product design, product development, or strategy is a plus.
• Interest in global markets and willingness to travel as needed.
• Language skills and experience in PR/media are highly desirable.

Details

• Time commitment: 10 hours/week during the academic year
• Remote internship with flexible hours.
• Initial 3-month term, with the potential to transition into a paid internship.
• Must be able to attend Sunday team meetings with global interns.
