Job Description

Description Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a Grants Manager Consultant to support our growing technology start-up client on a 3-6-month on-site engagement. This Grants Manager Consultant will report into the Chief Scientist for the start-up and take over administration and reporting for current government grants and be responsible for drafting proposals to pursue additional grant funding as the client grows their project portfolio. The ideal person for this role will possess exceptional attention to detail, the ability showcase project manage skills by managing multiple contracts simultaneously, liaise effectively with various stakeholders, excel at written communication and be willing to learn new skills. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing and submitting government proposals - Manage reporting obligations for government contracts and research grants (including financial, technical, and performance reporting) - Develop and maintain financial models to support budget forecasting, contract execution, and research fund tracking. - Manage research funding and ensure compliance with grant administration requirements. - Track research expenditures and ensure proper allocation of grant funds. - Work closely with internal teams to ensure adherence to government contract and grant guidelines and deliverables. - Maintain records and documentation to support audits, compliance reviews, and grant reporting. - Provide administrative support for contract modifications, grant renewals, and amendments. - Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless contract and grant execution. Requirements - Exceptional knowledge and experience in managing Government Grants or similar settings i.e. academia, research & development, or healthcare - Proficient in Grant Administration and Grant Management - Ability to Prepare Proposals for various grant opportunities - Strong skills in Budget Management and Expense Analysis - Demonstrated understanding of Compliance issues related to grant funding - Familiarity with Government Contracts and their administration - Proven experience in Project Management - Ability to operate in a cross-functional capacity with stakeholders across the organization (engineers, legal, finance, and external contacts) - Capable of Project Tracking, ensuring all grant conditions are met in a timely manner - Proficient in using Google Drive to manage and share documents. - Ability to work on-site in the South Bay/Harbor region of Los Angeles.
