Job Summary

With responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day facility performance and requirements, the Manager, Facilities for LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) will ensure LaGuardia Airport, Terminal B, its concourses and assets within the leasehold remain fully operational in a challenging and changing built environment. The Manager, Facilities is responsible for the development and execution of plans, processes and policies that ensure delivery of all facility management activities for LGP.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance targets and service standards are met in delivering on the terminal’s comprehensive maintenance program.
  • In accordance with the Capital Asset Management Plan, Maintenance Quality Control Plan and Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant (CHRP) Operations Manual organize and direct facility management activities for all assets.
  • Recommend modifications of existing plant and equipment facilities; prepares rough layouts, plans and specifications, and cost estimates of proposed modifications and construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and enforce safety policies.
  • Acts as liaison between tenants, vendors, contractors and internal departments to coordinate project, maintenance and repair activities.
  • Establish, prepare, review, and monitor the facility management budget; initiate purchases, review expenditures; prepare budgetary projections and forecasts; ensuring budget adherence.
  • Manage projects as assigned ensuring project objectives, schedule and cost targets are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility, monitoring service quality and facility conditions, taking appropriate actions to ensure the terminal is maintained at a high standard.
  • This role may be required to work non-routine business hours, as needed. This may include weekends, holidays, afternoons and evenings.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Competencies

  • Familiarity with planning, organizing, and establishing priorities in an airport or other similarly complex facility environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles, practices, techniques, and equipment applied in maintenance of large, high-capacity airport environments installations.
  • Knowledge of the operations and maintenance of building systems.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in airport terminal environment.
  • Ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders to support best practices in facility management.

  • Routinely carries/lifts, moves, transports, positions when distributing supplies and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • All other duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Transportation, or Engineering from an accredited institution Preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in operations or facility management of a large airport terminal environment or industrial complex.
  • 3 to 5 more years of providing leadership and management to direct and indirect reports.
  • High level of professionalism in preparing reports, presenting presentations and in representing the company.
  • Proficient at technical writing to support the team in the delivery of services.
  • Working knowledge of programs and applications commonly used in the role highly preferred (BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, SmartSheets, Arc and Microsoft Office suite applications).

Primary Work Location : LaGuardia Airport, NY (Onsite)
