Job Description

Chop Shop is looking for a bright and savvy content creator to run our multi-faceted concert venue, restaurant and bar's marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the development of the company’s marketing program. This role is responsible for collaboratively creating and implementing marketing engagement, initiatives, and events in each of our revenue centers and being a liaison between our leadership team and Chop Shop's ownership and management. The goal is to deliver memorable experiences by going above and beyond hospitality, drive customer engagement, community, retention, and revenue. They will develop and execute successful marketing strategies to increase all restaurant, bar, butcher shop and concert venue/event space traffic, increasing all revenue centers and increase brand equity and awareness. They will also develop and manage PR activities, events, promotional programs, advertising campaigns and overall digital content strategy (social, e-mail, web) for each revenue center.

Marketing Manager overall duties and responsibilities.

Coordinates and drives team to ensure successful execution of all marketing initiatives and programming.

Develops annual marketing strategies, budgets, brand plans, and promotional initiatives for each revenue center.

Oversees all in-store collateral/design development, execution, and implementation – menus, signage, check presenters, direct mail, etc.


• Manages and oversees communications strategy to ensure consistent brand identity and voice in the marketplace. Channels include, but not limited to, e-mail, social media, PR, website, advertising, in restaurant collateral, and 3rd party sites (Google, Caviar, Open Table, Toast, DICE, Trip Advisor, etc.)


• Develops sales-building plans for private events and catering operations


• Manages the CRG guest relationship management strategy and leverages existing technology (DICE, Toast, OpenTable) to provide a disciplined method of monitoring and interacting with our guests

• Works with Finance Manager to establish benchmarks and ROI targets for all marketing activities, reports on promotional effectiveness of marketing activities, and adjusts tactics accordingly

• Build and maintain effective relationships with all industry leaders and business partners, internal and external

• Identifies, directs and manages partnership relationships for both the restaurants and venue. i.e., chef appearances and/or interview requests, Artist & Guest Experience.

• Oversee charitable positioning & marketing

•Work with the Ownership and Director of Operations to develop annual calendars for upcoming marketing and event campaigns.

•Communicate all marketing efforts with the operations team and owner for a clear and consolidated direction

•Work with the Ownership and Director of Operations to develop budgets and forecast for marketing initiatives both quarterly and annually

•Develop and copy write marketing collateral and email campaigns to promote initiatives and drive revenue.

•Responsible for updating marketing assets and information across partner platforms, brand websites, and other digital footprints.

•Set-up ticketing event, experience, pre-order, and to-go pages via third-party technology platforms.

•Work alongside and ideate with Chef and Managers on specials, events, private events, catering, and more.

•Bring ideas to the table on new and creative ways to put our brand at the forefront of consumers’ minds to drive first-time visits and repeat visits.

•Aid in development of grassroots marketing plans in various neighborhoods throughout Chicago.

•Assist Ownership and Director of Operations with photoshoot coordination and on-site execution.

•Stay abreast of market trends (food & beverage, music, etc.) for real-time marketing opportunities.

•Some evening and weekend work may be required.

•Manage company website and digital presence

•Management of all digital marketing efforts

•Creation and execution of outside and inside marketing events

•Thinking outside of the box using our brand to make a presence in the Chicago and suburbs market

•Track engagement and revenue generated directly by marketing efforts
