Our research team play a vital role that requires a multi-disciplinary team approach to solving problems and patient challenges. "That's not my job" or "someone else can do it" is not in our team vocabulary because we are here to be of support to each other.

SUMMARY: The Clinical Resarch Associate (CRA) is responsible for verifying that the rights and the well-being of human subjects are protected, and that the reported trial data is accurate, complete, and verifiable from source documents. The CRA ensures that the conduct of the trial complies with the currently approved protocol/amendment(s), with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and with applicable regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, salaried-exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee site management and clinical monitoring activities in accordance to contractual agreements, department guidelines, SOPs, applicable international, federal and state regulations, as well as IRB guidelines.
  • Serves as the point of contact between the sponsor and the investigator.
  • Verifies the qualifications and resources of research staff, facilities, and investigational products, ensuring adequacy throughout the duration of the trial.
  • Assumes the responsibility for ensuring the safety and proper conduct of the trial.
  • Ensures the investigator's adherence to the approved protocol and all Good Clinical Practice (GCP) procedures.
  • Verifies the accuracy, completeness, and maintenance of source data/documents and other trial records.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of adverse events, concomitant medications, and intercurrent illnesses in accordance with the protocol and Case Report Forms (CRFs).
  • Communicates any deviations from the protocol, SOPs, GCP, and the applicable regulatory requirements to the investigator.
  • Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree or an associate degree in clinical Trials Research related curriculum plus a minimum of one year of healthcare experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must possess superior analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills; accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel programs.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM
